Lucky
Black Labs are great dogs and Lucky, an Elder Dog since 2020, was truly a great dog. He was kind, gentle, and good. He spent his life with Mary, his Ma. She treasured him and brought him up to be the good dog he was. Lucky never growled and very rarely barked. He loved walks, Timbits, and car rides with the window down, even in February. Lucky was stoic as well. At 15 and a half years, he had a lot of health issues that must have caused him pain and made life harder for him; nonetheless, he kept going. But, on June 5, 2025, he could go no more. He died peacefully that day with Mary by his side.
As ElderDog volunteers, we were fortunate to have walked Lucky over the past five years and to have shared Lucky with Mary for the past few months. We enjoyed every moment. You were a great dog, Lucky. And you are missed.
