Joy

Joy was a little dog with a big heart. Given the late age that I adopted her, I embraced the saying “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” and, needless to say, Joy was spoiled. Within reason; what Joy wanted, Joy got. Nothing made her happier than a home cooked meal, her favourite being ground turkey, carrots and orzo and an early bedtime (in my bed, next to me of course). It was impossible to have a bad day with her around because she’d melt into my arms and I’d instantly feeI better. I was so fortunate to have her as my COVID buddy. She will be missed deeply, not only by me, but all those that she brought so much joy to through her endless cuddles.
