Shiloh

All of us in the ElderDog family are saddened that precious Shiloh has crossed the rainbow bridge. Shiloh came into our care in 2018 at 11 years old looking for her forever home. Along came Mary and she and Shiloh became fast friends. ElderDog volunteers supported Mary and Shiloh, and she got her daily walks and experienced lots of adventures. ElderDog’s Executive Director conducted a research project at Northwood, a long-term care facility, and, because Shiloh had such a sweet temperament and endearing personality, she was one of the dogs chosen to spend long periods of time every week for a year engaging with residents and staff. Shiloh loved people, and wanted to greet and share her love with everyone. As volunteer Melissa said, “She was one of the sweetest dogs that you would ever meet, and such a ray of sunshine.” Everyone loved Shiloh.

Shiloh has had many volunteers over the years, but her most recent team of volunteers all got together with her one last time, to spend some time with her, and to say good-bye. These volunteers gave both Shiloh and Mary so much love and support over the years. A very special thank you to Melissa, Sarah, Bonnie, Kayle, Keya, and Marilyn for all that you did for her.

This little Puggle was special. She stole the hearts of all who knew her. She lived to the ripe age of 17, but it was time for her to rest.

Bless you dear girl, you will always be in the hearts of your ElderDog family.
