Charlie

Our beloved Border Collie, Charlie, left for the Bridge on Christmas morning. He came to us just after his 13th birthday in June 2022 and immediately bonded with my husband, Allen. Although Charlie was deaf and had arthritis, his greatest pleasure was in walking to Weir’s Beach with Allen where he could then run on the beach and play in the water.

To meet Charlie was to love him. He was sweet-tempered, gentle, calm and loving. He kept us laughing with his antics including his pointed demands that we share at least a taste of our food with him. He followed Allen from room-to-room, only occasionally coming to check on me.

Our house is so empty without him. He made at least two separate families incredibly happy and we are so grateful that he shared his last days with us.

Run free, Charlie.
