West
It was a sad day in October, when we said good-bye to West. He was the sweetest little Westie with an adorable spirit and a gentle heart. West lived with his senior companion, and a team of dedicated volunteers provided in-home support to help keep West and his companion together, and to try and get West healthy again. He had hardly a hair on his little body when we first met him. Through daily baths, daily medications, vet visits and lots of love, our volunteers were able to help this sweet boy and bring some joy to his last months. He even got a haircut this year, the first in many years. He touched us all very deeply and we were heartbroken when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We all take some comfort in knowing we made a difference in his life. Run free little one, and know you will never be forgotten.
